So I created an account with a certain username, but the problem is I used an email on a restricted domain... So I can't receive the email. When I try to login without verifying the address, it just says "Account is inactive." Is there anyway to get that certain username back?

Absolute no explanation given on this problem. How is anybody supposed to understand this question? Problems should not be cryptic!

Suggested by a Prof, this is the best resource I have come across for hands on programming and bio-informatics.

my profile shows I've only completed 4 problems, but I've completed 19. 4 were before I joined a class; 19 I completed in the class.

Hi, I was wondering why your site doesn't have a secure connection? It makes me hesitant to register. Many thanks.

It would have been nice to know that this was using a wrapped fasta in the problem description

I really like this site, but with only one very simplified sample dataset for each problem, it can often be near impossible to decipher what is going wrong with your algorithm. A few sample datasets with the correct answer would give us a better chance at debugging the code when it isn't working. The "questions" section of the problems are often full of people saying their code is working fine on the sample data, but the submissions are failing. In these cases, the sample data just isn't testing the code rigorously enough. The "questions" section of the problems states: "If your solution works on the sample dataset, but fails on a real one, create some more samples to test it." This isn't always possible, either because you just don't know the correct answer for a simulated dataset, or because obtaining the correct answer would be a huge amount of manual labor.

Please specify more about The Sample Output, I clearly solved the problem with sorted k-mers and with “\n” but my answer was accepted wrong even I tried many times and my program is fine with the Sample Input

It would be cool to get official Rosalind T-SHIRT showing achievements and problems solved for a user! I would pay up to $30 to have my T-SHIRT!

I've been looking for a website to learn programming for bioinformatics for so long! I have always been interested in bioinformatics but could never apply my programming knowledge to biology without seemingly delving into very complex topics fast. As a high-school student, I have been looking for a way to learn bioinformatics in an easily approachable way. Rosalind seamlessly connects programming to biology in a fun and educational way--something I've never encountered before! Thanks again!
