new lines consistent with accepted command line use

Both sample datasets and expected answers break one widely accepted idea in command line tools, namely, that they should end in a new line. Even my text editor "mentions" that there is a new line missing at the end of the file. It is not a problem, as such, but it wouldn't hurt anyone, and use of "cat", for example, won't end up in having an awkward prompt glued to the end of the data.

Or am I missing some problem that Windows users would run into?

(I don't mind using the Windows style line breaks, that one can deal with consistently)
