Why limit which questions someone can access?

As far as I can understand, you need to have logged a solution to a prerequisite question before you can access the data for another question. I can see why you might want to encourage people to go through it in such a linear fashion for learning purposes, and to keep up the game element of it, but it's actually really irritating. I (and I'm sure many other users) want to work through it at my own pace, without having to constantly switch windows, download and upload files within a time limit, etc.

I am trying to use Rosalind as a learning resource and am being hampered by your gimmicky restrictions. Maybe have an option on the account page to enter a non-competitive mode, where all the data is available?
